The main objective of the paper is to present the research in developing software aids systems essential for educational process.  Much attention is given to the method chosen for modeling such systems on the example of electronic encyclopedia of Information Security Department at BMSTU. The main aspects are considered and the method for modeling the system using Petri net is validated.
