Different ergonomic, technical and physical reasons for creating X-ray diffractometer simulator are considered. Its role for learning processes in technical universities is considered in this article too. The expert system that provides opportunity to carry out virtual diffraction experiment for the purpose of X-ray phase analysis was designed on the basis of our research and analysis the applications of X-ray diffractometer for crystal lattice study.
