The minimal set of concepts of quantum physics needed for understanding the ideas and methods of quantum cryptography are discussed. The priorities for the development of systems of quantum cryptographic key distribution based on the coding of the quantum state of single particle are described. Secure communication protocols based on the principals of quantum mechanics are called quantum communication protocols. The most popular at this moment quantum communication protocols BB84 and B92 are observed in the article.
