Issues of defining the basic platforms for highly mobile armored wheeled and tracked vehicles for transporting troops, cargo and weapon mounting are considered. Three types of vehicles are specified for the use in areas with different driving conditions: (8 x 8) wheeled vehicles, crawlers, articulated tracked vehicles.
