About the history of the All-Russian competition
in theoretical mechanics

The article describes the conducting history of regional, All-Union, All-Russian competi-
tions in theoretical mechanics.
The competition for the theoretical mechanics identifies
gifted students, allows consolidate their knowledge, develop creative thinking, helps to
learn the special courses, prepares students for research work at the undergraduate.
