The study offers a model kinetic equation for a polyatomic gas, taking into account rotational degrees of molecules freedom. Three free parameters of the model are associated with Eucken partial factors, which depend on the intensity of the energy exchange between the progressive and rotational degrees of freedom, frequency of elastic and inelastic collisions of gas molecules.
